5 April will soon be upon us and with it the end of a number of tax exemptions and reliefs as well as other opportunities to save tax that will soon be no more. We have produced a new Guide which highlights a number of tax planning areas of which clients should at least be aware.
2011 Budget
At present the spotlight of HM Revenue & Customs is on reducing the amount that high earners can put into private pension funds in a tax efficient way. However, it would be prudent to take nothing for granted and use what allowances and exemptions you can while you can. Remember that Chancellor George Osborne will announce his second budget on 23 March 2011.
